About Us

Ruff Life Rescue of South Carolina is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity organization.

NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION

Ruff Life Rescue of South Carolina

Our dog rescue shelter, “Ruff Life Rescue of South Carolina,” founded in February 2021, is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs. Dogs that are scheduled to be euthanized due to treatable medical conditions, overcrowding, or extended stays at a kill shelter. We then heal, rehabilitate, and train them to become support dogs for disabled veterans and children with special needs.

Our Vision

We envision a world where every dog is given the opportunity to thrive in a loving environment and every veteran and child struggling with disabilities has access to the unconditional love and support of a loyal companion. Together, we strive for a future built on compassion, healing, and the profound bond between humans and animals.

Dogs that heal, Hearts that Feel.

Empowering hope through Paws & Purpose.

Our Philosophy

Saving a dog’s life while supporting a disabled veteran or child embodies the true spirit of compassion and community. At Ruff Life Rescue of South Carolina, it’s not just about rescue—it’s about resilience, healing, and building a world where every life has value and purpose.

Founder's Message

Hello, and thank you for visiting Ruff Life Rescue of South Carolina. When I founded this organization in February 2021, I was driven by a vision to save lives—not just the lives of abandoned and neglected dogs, but also the lives of disabled veterans and special needs children in need of hope and companionship. Every dog we rescue has a story of resilience, and every match we make with a veteran or child creates a bond that transforms both lives. Together, we’re building a community of compassion, healing, and second chances. Thank you for being part of this journey.
